The 2009 MEAC Most Outstanding Performer and CSU Female Athlete of the Year, Baird won three MEAC Championships (2008 and 2009 high jump & 2009 heptathlon) and took the silver six other times during her illustrious career. Upon her graduation, she held six school-records with three each in both indoor and outdoor categories and still ranks in the top five in nine different events. Â All six of her school-records were broken by athletes that she coached, including Deandra Daniel who won the bronze at the 2015 National Championships in the high jump, which is the highest-ever finish for a CSU athlete at Nationals. Â During her coaching tenure at Coppin, her athletes won 12 conference titles, three ECAC Championships and made five NCAA East Regional appearances. She is currently an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
In 2020, she was named to the MEAC’s 50th Anniversary Team.
