A two-time First Team All-MEAC selection after leading the Eagles in scoring both seasons, Brockington was the 1998 MEAC Player of the Year while also making the All-Rookie Team in 1996.  Selected to three MEAC All-Tournament Teams, he helped Coppin to a 1997 MEAC Title and scored 20 points in the Eagles’ upset against #2 South Carolina in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.  He followed up with 27 points against Texas in the Second Round. In just three collegiate seasons, Brockington ranks seventh all-time at Coppin with 1,448 points and 16.5 points per game during his career. He also ranks sixth in steals, seventh in 3-pointers, 8th in field goals and 10th in free throws.
Following graduation, Brockington played professionally overseas and in the United States before going into coach at the high school level.
In 2020, he was named to the MEAC’s 50th Anniversary Men’s Basketball Team.
