Jason Booker (Baseball): During his baseball career helped Coppin State win the national team stolen base crown. As a senior in 1986, he led the nation in stolen bases (49-51, 1.23 pg), was sixth in runs scored (58, 1.5 pg) and 13th in walks (38, 0.95 pg). He still holds the school’s career-stolen base record, and is Coppin’s single-season record holder for stolen bases, walks, and runs scored. In 1988 he was named baseball’s head coach. He was named MEAC Coach of the Year in 1995 when the baseball team won its first conference championship.Â
