EMMITSBURG, Md. – Mount St. Mary's proved to be too much for Coppin State University men's tennis team as the host Mount won 7-0 on Thursday, March 30
th.
Coppin State drops to 0-5 this season.
MSM won the doubles sweeping all three matches. Sophomore
Zaipo Oula and freshman
Andre Sturniolo battled at the No. 1 doubles duo and dropped the first match 6-0 while junior
Gabriel Franca and senior
Christian Duchnak were defeated 6-1 at the No. 2 spot. Junior
Gavin Lewis and sophomore
Andres Diaz pushed their competition at the third spot to a 7-5 loss.
The Eagles were also dominated in the singles portion of the non-conference matchup by the Mount losing all six points.
Coppin State tennis host MEAC foe Hampton University on Friday, March 31
st at 3:00 p.m. at the Twin Lakes Tennis Center.
