BALTIMORE – Coppin State men's tennis has added
Armando Sigauque to its roster for the 2026-27 season. Sigauque played the last two seasons at Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kansas.
A native of Maputo, Mozambique, Sigauque helped the Cougars to an eighth-place finish at the 2026 NJCAA Men's Tennis Championships after they were National Runners-Up during his freshman season.
Sigauque won his opening round match of the National Tournament at No. 4 singles in 2026 before falling in the National Quarterfinals. He took third in his singles slot and fourth in doubles at the highly competitive NJCAA Region 6 Championship.
Prior to his junior college career, Sigauque won the Mozambique Men's National Championship in 2023 and has represented the country as a Davis Cup player three times.
