STATEN ISLAND - The Coppin State men's tennis team fell to Wagner College 7-0 in its season finale on Tuesday, April 19 at the Wagner Tennis Courts in Staten Island, N.Y.
The Seahawks swept the Eagles in all singles and doubles matches.
Gabriel Franca (6-2, 6-0) was defeated in No. 1 singles while Christian Duchnak (6-2, 2-6, 2-6) battled in No. 2 singles. The pair teamed up for a 6-0 loss in No. 1 doubles play.
Gavin Lewis (6-0, 6-1), Andres Diaz (6-1, 6-4) and Zaipo Oula (6-0, 6-0) dropped No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 singles matches.
Lewis and Diaz paired in No. 2 doubles action and fell 6-1.
The Eagles end their 2016 season with a 2-14 overall record and a 1-7 away record from the CSU Tennis Complex.
