BALTIMORE – After a historic comeback victory over Howard on Monday, Coppin State's men's basketball team returns to action for a pair of MEAC games when it hosts Maryland Eastern Shore on Saturday afternoon, followed by a visit to Delaware State on Monday night.

Coppin came back from a 26-point, first half deficit to defeat Howard, 83-81 on Monday, January 24.
Nendah Tarke converted on an old-fashioned three-point play with 5.2 seconds left to win the game and finished with 19 points.
Tyree Corbett recorded career highs in points (25) and rebounds (22) while
Kyle Cardaci hit five 3-pointers and scored 16 points.
Jesse Zarzuela also finished in double figures with 15 points while making seven free throws.

Tarke was named MEAC Co-Player of the Week for his efforts against Norfolk State and Howard. He put up 23.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 steals while shooting 17-of-31 (54.8%) from the field and 5-of-9 from 3-point range. Tarke scored a career-high 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting with three 3-pointers, six rebounds, five assists and two steals in a loss at first-place Norfolk State. Corbett earned his sixth MEAC Defensive Player of the Week award on Tuesday as he notched a pair of double-doubles. Averaging 22.0 points and 18.0 rebounds. Corbett recorded 19 points and 14 rebounds in a loss at Norfolk before his monster game against Howard. He is the only player in the Nation this season with a pair of games with at least 20 points and 20 rebounds. The duo, along with
Jesse Zarzuela average well into doble figures, led by Corbett's 14.9 points, followed by Zarzeula's 14.7 points. Tarke is putting up 13.3 points and is second nationally with 54 steals. Corbett also leads the MEAC in rebounds (9.6) and double-doubles (nine). Cardaci and
Mike Hood both average over six points per game and are top on the team in 3-point shooting.
Scouting the Hawks
Eastern Shore has lost four-straight games, including three consecutive home games in MEAC play, after a dominating win over St. Mary's (Md.) on December 11. Zion Styles and Dom London average 11 points per game to lead the Hawks with Da'Shawn Phillip just under double digits with 9.2 points. Kevon Voyles, Nathaniel Pollard and Chance Davis average between 7.2 to 7.8 points a contest. Pollard is also tops on the team with 6.1 rebounds and nine blocks while Phillips has dished out a team-high 45 assists, followed by London's 28 dimes.
About The Hornets
Delaware State boasts one of the top duos in the MEAC with Myles Carter (14.1 points) and Dominik Frajala (13.6 points) with Jahim Jenneto just under double figures in scoring at 9.5 points. A well-balanced team, five other players average over six points per game while Chris Sodom leads the team with 5.9 rebounds and a whopping 32 blocks (two per game). Corey Perkins, who also averages 7.2 points and 3.3 rebounds, has recorded 48 assists in just 11 games.
