2020-21 (Redshirt Sophomore): Played in 22 games and received five starts in his first season with the Eagles, averaging 9.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in 26.3 minutes per game… Also put up 21 assists and 15 steals… Arguably the top 3-point shooter in the MEAC, sinking a league-high 54 3-pointers while making an impressive 40.3% from downtown… Made 42.9% of his shots from the floor and a team-high 84.2% from the line, hitting 16-of-19 shots from the stripe… Performed even better in conference play, recording 10.5 points and 3.3 rebounds while making 44.9% of his 3-pointers and 47.1% of his field goals… Reached double figures in 11 games with a career-high 21 points against Morgan State where he went 4-of-8 from the floor with three 3-pointers and 10-of-11 from the line… Hit multiple threes in 15 games, recording a career-high six triples for 18 points at Iona… Buried five shots from deep twice, four more in two other games and three in seven contests… Pulled down a career-high seven rebounds against Norfolk State and was credited with five rebounds in three other games… Dished out multiple assists in five games, tallying a high of five at Towson… Had a pair of steals in four games.
Prior to Coppin: Attended Bryant University and played in four games with one start against Saint Peter’s as a freshman in 2018-19 before transferring following the Fall semester… Scored two points from the free throw line to go with three rebounds at Seattle… Also had an assist against the Peacocks… Played his sophomore season at Seward County CC in Liberal, Kans., and averaged 10.5 points with 3.1 rebounds while making 41.3% of his shots from deep.
High School: Played two seasons at Holmdel High School where he was named All-Division as a sophomore before transferring to Mater Dei Prep… Earned First Team All-Division and Second Team All-Conference accolades as a senior… Named Shore Conference Tournament MVP after leading team to a Conference Title as a junior.
Personal: Born July 4, 2000… Son of John & Roberta Cardaci… Has two brothers, John & Michael, and a sister, Victoria who played basketball at Clemson and Seton Hall.
