Men’s Basketball’s DeMariontay Hall to Play Rookie Season in Portugal’s ProLiga

SÃO PAIO DE GRAMAÇOS, Portugal – Coppin State men's basketball graduate DeMariontay Hall has signed a professional contract to play his rookie season with Sampaense Basket in Portugal's Proliga.
 
In his lone season with the Eagles after transferring from Franklin Pierce, Hall led the Eagles in points (10.6) and rebounds (5.4), while shooting a team-high 52.4 percent from the floor and blocking 16 shots.  Hall was a two-time MEAC Defensive Player of the Week and averaged 12.7 points and 5.0 rebounds on 57.8 percent shooting in conference games.
 
A native of Atlanta, Ga., Hall started his collegiate career at Gulf Coast State where he played two seasons before putting up 12.9 points with 6.4 rebounds at Division II Franklin Pierce.
 
Hall enters his first professional season with some valuable international experience, competing in the 2026 United Pro Invitational in Atlanta where he helped lead the GIE Cibao Immortals to an undefeated record and tournament championship.
 
The Eagles are scheduled to open the 2026-27 season at Virginia Tech on November 3 and hosts Cheyney (Nov. 9), Central Penn (Nov. 30), Mercyhurst (Dec. 7) and Mount St. Mary's (Dec. 10) prior to opening MEAC play to start the new calendar year.
