BALTIMORE – Coppin State University head men's basketball coach
Larry Stewart has announced the Eagles' 2026-27 schedule, featuring a pair of Power Conference matchups and five non-conference home games.
The season gets underway Tuesday, November 3 at Virginia Tech, followed by a road matchup at George Mason three nights later. The home opener is set for Monday, November 9 against Cheyney at 11 am for an Education Day event.
A trip to St. Petersburg, Florida, follows, with a November 12 matchup against Bradley as part of the Showdown in St. Pete. Additional road tests during the month include South Florida (Nov. 14), La Salle (Nov. 18), Georgetown (Nov. 21) and Villanova (Nov. 24).
November concludes with a pair of home contests, beginning with Central Penn on Monday, November 30 at 7 pm.
December opens at VCU before the Eagles return to PEC Arena for consecutive home games against Mercyhurst on December 7 and Mount St. Mary's on December 10, both scheduled for 7 pm.
The month continues with a demanding stretch away from home, including games at West Virginia (Dec. 13), Liberty (Dec. 17), Saint Joseph's (Dec. 19) and James Madison (Dec. 22). A December 29 visit to UMBC closes out the calendar year.
MEAC Play Begins in January
Conference action begins Saturday, January 2, when Delaware State visits PEC Arena for a 5 pm matchup. Road games at North Carolina Central (Jan. 9), South Carolina State (Jan. 11), Howard (Jan. 25) and Morgan State (Jan. 30) are also on the January schedule.
Three additional home games highlight the month, with Maryland Eastern Shore visiting on January 16 at 5 pm. UDC comes to Baltimore on January 20 before Norfolk State arrives on three days later.
February begins with a trip to Delaware State on February 6 before a major home date against North Carolina Central on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 5 p.m
. The contest will serve as Coppin State's Homecoming game.
Another home matchup against South Carolina State on Monday, February 15 follows before road contests at Maryland Eastern Shore (Feb. 20) and Norfolk State (Feb. 27).
A pair of home games bring the regular season to a close in March. Howard visits on Monday, March 1, followed by Morgan State on Thursday, March 4 for Senior Night.
The 2027 MEAC Tournament is scheduled for March 10-13 at Norfolk Scope Arena in Norfolk, Va.
