Box Score ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Sergiu Medesan picked up Coppin State's lone victory in a 5-1 loss to Wagner College on Saturday afternoon at the United States Naval Academy.
Wagner won both doubles matches, taking No. 1 doubles, 6-2 against Medesan and
Sam Scala-McNeill.
Dean Waterman and
Henrique Sada dropped a 6-1 decision in the second doubles slot.
Medesan earned a win in the second doubles slot, defeating Hans Ohrner, 6-3, 6-4. Scala-McNeill took the first set to a tiebreak before falling, 6-2 in the second set in his defeat at No. 3. Sada won four games in his loss in the fourth flight. Waterman was blanked in both sets in the top position.
CSU makes the short trip across town to face Loyola University Maryland on Tuesday, March 10 in a 3 pm start.
