Men’s Tennis Earns Two Points in Loss at Rider

Box Score LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – Coppin State's men's tennis team put up a great fight but fell at Rider University, 5-2 on Saturday afternoon. 
 
The Eagles earned the doubles point with victories in the No. 1 and 3 flights.  In the first spot, the duo of Henrique Sada and Prabh Bal were victorious, 7-6 (7-3) while Jorge Rodriguez Rey and Sam Scala-McNeill cruised to a 6-2 win.
 
Rodriguez Rey got the lone singles victory for Coppin State, defeating Javier Melendez in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4. Bal and McNeill both won four games in the opening set of their losses while McNeill also got three games in the second set.
 
CSU wraps up the regular season against Morgan State at 3 pm on Monday, April 15.
