BALTIMORE, Md. - The Coppin State men's tennis team collected the doubles point and
Jorge Rodriguez Rey earned a win at No. 1 doubles in a 5-2 loss versus Lafeyette College on Sunday afternoon.
CSU took wins in the first two doubles slots to go ahead heading into singles play. Rodriguez Rey and
Gavin Lewis teamed for a 7-5 win at No. 1 doubles while
Gabriel Franca and
Andres Diaz were victorious, 6-2 in the second slot. Â
Rodriguez Rey won in the first position in singles play, 6-3, 6-4, but the Leopards took al of the remaining matches. Lewis abd Franca took their opponents to the third set at Nos. 3 and 4, resepctively, but dropped the decider in each of their flights.
The Eagles return to action on Tuesday, April 10 at Loyola in a 3:30 pm start.
