BALTIMORE, Md. – The Coppin State men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision at MEAC rival Morgan State on Wednesday afternoon.
Morgan took all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point heading into singles play.
Jorge Rodriguez Rey and
Gavin Lewis took the No. 1 Bears duo to the brink but eventually fell, 7-5. The other two positions went to Morgan State by identical 6-1 scores.
The Bears got singles wins at Nos. 2-4 to pick up the victory.
Andres Diaz took the loss at No. 2, 6-0, 6-1 while Lewis won just a pair of games in the third slot.
CSU returns to the court on Sunday, April 15 at Hampton at 12 pm.
