BALTIMORE, Md. - The Coppin State men's tennis team dropped its match at Loyola University Maryland, 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon.
Doubles play was not too kind to the Eagles as the Greyhounds took all three matches to earn the point.Â
Jorge Rodriguez Rey and
Gavin Lewis fell, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles while
Gabriel Franca and Andrez Dias fell by an identical score in the third slot.
Rodriguez Rey managed to pick up the only point for the Navy & Gold in the first position of singles play with a straight-set 6-4, 6-2 victory. Diaz, Lewis and Franca played very competitively at Nos., 2-4, respectively, taking at least three games in each of their sets.
CSU returns to the court on Wednesday, April 11 when it makes the short trip to MEAC rival Morgan State at 3 pm.
