BALTIMORE, Md. – The women's tennis team were downed 7-0 at home against Loyola Maryland on Tuesday, April 11
th at the CSU Tennis Courts. Coppin State drops to 3-9 overall with three matches left in the regular season.
Loyola took the doubles competition winning all three matches.
Precious Udofe and
Tinashe Gwaze battled at No. 3 doubles and loss 6-1.
Ajla Hrnjic and
Tanna Nita competed at No. 1 and suffered a 6-1 defeat and then Carebtxa Goede and
Brittanie Cahua loss 6-4 at No. 2.
In singles play Cahua forced a third set in her match against Julie Clark at the No. 5 spot. Clark won 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 and then breezed through the rest of the matches against the Eagles.
Coppin State's women's tennis team will host Morgan State on Thursday, April 13
th at 3 p.m. at the CSU Tennis Courts.
