Brandy Babcock-Hannah Earns All-MEAC Accolades

NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Brandy Babcock-Hannah has been named to the MEAC Women's Tennis All-Conference Second Team, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday night.  This is the first time that Babcock-Hannah has received All-Conference honors voting for the awards was done by the league's head coaches and sports information directors. 
 
A sophomore from Menifee, Calif., Babcock-Hannah is the first CSU women's tennis player to earn All-MEAC honors since Iva Jankovic received second team accolades in 2022.  Babcock-Hannah is just the fourth different Coppin women's tennis player to be an All-MEAC recipient.
 
Playing exclusively in the first singles and doubles slots, Babcock-Hannah posted a straight-set singles victory against Delaware State as well as a thrilling three-set win at Towson. Babcock-Hannah won five doubles matches with freshman Saphirre Ferguson, including victories against pairings from George Mason, Delaware State, Hampton, Morgan State and UDC.
 
The Eagles are set to face #2 Norfolk State in the MEAC Tournament at 8:00 am on Thursday, April 23 at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.
