BALTIMORE, Md. – In the Eagles' afternoon conference dual, a final score of 7-0 handed Coppin State women's tennis their first MEAC loss of the season on Friday, March 31
st at the Twin lakes Tennis Center.
Coppin State's doubles play finished with losses from pairing
Carentxa Goede and
Tinashe Gwaze in the first spot,
Ajla Hrnjic and
Brittanie Cahua in the second spot and rounded out by
Precious Udofe and
Tanna Nita in the third spot.
Hampton continued their stellar play sweeping singles play.
Brittanie Cahua fought at the second spot 6-1, 6-3 to Mariam Mitaishvili while
Carentxa Goede battled in a 6-1, 6-3 loss to Cherise Slocombe at the No. 3 spot.
The Eagles fall to 1-4, 1-1 overall record. Hampton improves to 7-2, 2-0 record. Next, Coppin State will battle Bucknell on Saturday, April 1
st at 3 p.m.
