Coppin State (3-15, 2-1) will host North Carolina A&T (1-15, 0-3) on Saturday afternoon (4 p.m. ET). In their most recent meeting, Coppin State eliminated NC A&T in the 2016 MEAC Basketball Tournament in double overtime (98-91) on March. 7, 2016. The Eagles are 2-1 in MEAC play and will look to match the 2013-14 squad that started league play winning the first three of four conference games played.
Last season the Eagles defeated the Aggies 84-71 at home in the Physical Education Complex (Jan. 27, 2016). Three Eagles finished in double figure scoring led by Terry Harris Jr.
's 22 points while Keith Shivers
scored 16 points. In the double overtime win in the MEAC Tournament, Shivers scored 19 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had four assists. Harris Jr. scored 13 points and had eight rebounds and Joshua Treadwell
also had 13 points with a team-high nine rebounds at the Scope. In Norfolk, VA. The Eagles lead the all-time series 39-21.
LAST TIME OUT
Coppin State pulled out a close, 76-73 road win at Bethune-Cookman on Monday in the ICC Center in Daytona Beach. Senior Joshua Treadwell
came off of the Eagles bench and finished with a team-high 18 points as the Coppin State bench outscored the Wildcats bench, 35-6. The Eagles dished out a team season-high 19 assists and had ten different scorers. Freshman Dejuan Clayton
finished with seven assists and scored nine points. Senior Keith Shivers
was the other Eagle to reach double figure scoring with ten points and had four assists. Junior Tre' Thomas
had nine points and senior Chas Brown
finished with eight points.
OFF TO FAST START IN CONFERENCE PLAY
Through three MEAC contests, senior Joshua Treadwell
leads the Eagles in scoring averaging 14.3 points per game. Senior Chas Brown
is also averaging double figure scoring with 12.0 points and leads the team shooting .696 percent from the field. Offensively, Coppin State is outscoring MEAC opponents by a six point margin and are averaging 6.3 made three-pointers. The Eagles currently lead the MEAC in total rebounds (624) while ranking 118th

leads the team at 6.7 rebounds per game in MEAC play and junior Blake Simpson
follows at 5.3 rebounds.
Coppin State's sixth man, senior guard/forward Joshua Treadwell
has scored in double figures in all three MEAC games (14 vs. SCSU, 11 at FAMU, 18 at B-CU) thus far. Treadwell has come off of the Eagles bench in the last eight games before starting in the first ten games of the season. In the Eagles season opener he exploded for 25 points, he has eight double-digit scoring performances and was Coppin State's top scorer five times.

The Eagles head men's basketball coach Michael Grant
holds a 3-0 record in games versus North Carolina A&T in his third season. In 2014-15, Coppin State won on the road 84-71 (Jan. 26, 2015) and then a pair of wins last season for the Eagles against the Aggies at home 84-71 (Jan. 27, 2016) and then in the MEAC opening round in double overtime (March 7, 2016)

North Carolina A&T (1-15, 0-2) are coming off of a 55-53 loss at home to Delaware State in their MEAC home opener last Saturday. The Aggies won their season opener but have loss their last 14 games. Sam Hunt leads the team in scoring at 13.2 points per game ranking 14th
in the MEAC while leading the league at the free-throw line at 93%. Davaris McGowens is second in rebounding (7.6) and Eliel Gonzalez is 26th
in scoring (10.6).
MADE THREE-POINTERS STREAK CONTINUES FOR EAGLES
Coppin State has made at least one three-point field goal in 204 consecutive games over the past seven seasons; which is the current longest streak in the nation. The last time the Eagles were unable to register a made three-pointer in a game was back on Feb. 22, 2010 at Delaware State (0-8).

scored his 200th point in his career as an Eagle in the win at Bethune-Cookman.
Coppin State heads to Washington, DC on Monday, January 16th
for a meeting with the Howard Bison at 4 p.m. The Eagles lead the all-time series with the Bison 42-21 and won the second of two meeting last season at home 90-66 on February 13, 2016.
