PRINCETON – Coppin State women's outdoor track and field team placed 28
th overall with 13 team points at the 2016 ECAC/IC4A Championships at Weaver Stadium on Sunday, May 15
th. The Lady Eagles won the women's heptathlon on Saturday highlighting their weekend.
On the third and final day of the ECAC/IC4A Championships, Coppin State had two competing in the women's 400 meter hurdles event and high jump.
Senior
Tanaya Yarde placed seventh in the women's 400m hurdles finals with a time of 1:01.81. Freshman
Khemani Roberts competed in the women's high jump event and placed eighth with a mark of 1.67 meters.
Coppin State's regular season concludes with the upcoming NCAA Division I Preliminary East Region Championships in Jacksonville, FL beginning on May 26
th. Currently,
Tanaya Yarde ranks 31
st in the nation in the women's 400 meter hurdles event. She clocked in 58.81 at the MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships earlier this month. Two additional Lady Eagles rank amongst the nation's best in the women's high jump event. Senior

th at 1.78 meters recorded at Penn Relays while
Khemani Roberts sits at 28
th nationally with a measure of 1.77 meters at Morgan State Legacy Meet.
