BALTIMORE – Coppin State's
Halutie Hor won both the 100m and 200m dash and anchored the 4x100m Relay to Gold at the Morgan Stacy Legacy Meet this weekend at the Bears' Hughes Stadium.
A senior from Ghana, Hor took the 100m in 11.82 and won the 200m in 24.29. Both of Hor's times were her second-fastest this season. Opening Saturday in the 4x100m, Hor, along with
Gifty Oku,
Benidicta Kwartemaa and
Kyah La Fortune cruised to a win in 45.75.
La Fortune doubled up in the 200m and 400m, taking third and fourth, respectively, in 24.75 and a personal record 55.59. Oku and Kwartemaa followed shortly after Hor in the 100m, clocking in at 12.08 and 12.22.
Tracey Riley turned in a 57.69 in the 400m while
Woizero Richards also had her best performance of the season in the long jump with a leap of 5.19m (17' 0.50").
Also, competing were
Nackera Allen in the 100m (12.89),
Karima Davenport-White in the 100m hurdles (16.68) and
Raniya Perry in the shot put with a toss of 9.81m (32' 2.25").
The Eagles will compete at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia on April 24-26.
