Halutie Hor Named MEAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Halutie Hor has been named the MEAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.  This is the first time this season that Hor has received a weekly honor from the MEAC.
 
A senior from Kumasi, Ghana, Hor recorded three first-place finishes at the Morgan State Legacy Meet last weekend. Hor won the 100m dash in 11.82 and the 200m dash with a time of 24.29, recording her second-fastest times of the season in both races.  She also anchored the Eagles' 4x100m relay team to a first place time of 45.75.
 
Hor ranks in the top ten in the conference in both the 100m (11.76) and 200m (24.04) and she anchored the 4x100m to a school-record 44.85 earlier this season which ranks second in the MEAC.
 
The Eagles are scheduled to run at the Penn Relays on April 24-26 with Hor likely to run in the 4x100 (12:55 pm) and 4x200 (2:30 pm) on Thursday, as well as the 4x400m at 6:50 pm.
