Daniel Takes Second at Historical Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – Coppin State women's track and field team completed their weekend of events at the 2016 Penn Relays with great finished in both the women's high jump and 4x200 meter relay events on Friday and Saturday.

Senior Deandra Daniel placed second in the College Women's High Jump Championship with a Coppin State and also a personal season best mark of 1.78 meters (5-10). Daniel ranks second on the current MEAC outdoor list in the high jump event.

The women's 4x200 meter relay team of junior Alexis Marsh, senior Melissa Caddle-Hope, senior Tanaya Yarde, and sophomore Breana Hagwood finished fourth in their heat and 12th overall with a time of 1:38.65.

Then on Saturday, the 4x200 meter relay team of Marsh, Caddle-Hope, freshman Khemani Roberts, and Yarde finished fourth in the College Women's ECAC Championship with a blazing time of 1:37.91.

Coppin State prepares for a run at the 2016 MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in their next meet beginning on Thursday, May 5th in Greensboro, N.C.
