Nita Wins at Home Against Hofstra

BALTIMORE- The Lady Eagles tennis team completed its home slate with a match against Hofstra University on Friday, April 8. Coppin State suffered a 6-1 loss.
 
Coppin State's freshman Tanna Nita picked a victory in No. 5 singles defeating Hofstra's Jariwala Salini by a 6-2, 6-3 score.
 
In No. 2 singles action senior Carentxa Geode battled to a 6-3, 6-1 loss. Seniors Miranda Taylor (6-1, 6-0) and Ashley Milo (6-1, 60) fell in No. 1 and No. 3 singles respectively, while freshman Precious Udofe competed in No. 4 singles and loss 6-0, 6-1.
 
The duo of Goede and Milo teamed up in No. 1 doubles action and were downed 6-2.
 
Taylor and Udofe fell 6-1 in No. 2 doubles match play.
 
 Coppin State will travel to Towson of a road match on Sunday, April 10 at the Tigers Tennis Complex at 2:00 p.m.
