LUTHERVILLE – The Lady Eagles tennis team suffered a 6-0 loss to rival Morgan State University at the Greenspring Racquet Club on Tuesday, April 5
th.
Morgan State moves to 5-8 overall with a 2-1 MEAC record while Coppin State drops to 2-9 overall record with a 1-5 MEAC record.
The Lady Bears were dominant in both singles and doubles play. CSU's No. 1 doubles team of Carentca Goede and
Ashley Milo loss 6-0 while No. 2 pair of
Miranda Taylor and
Precious Udofe also suffered a 6-0 defeat.
In singles play,
Ashley Milo battled at the No. 2 spot and put up the toughest fight in a 6-2, 6-0 shortfall. Goede fell 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and
Miranda Taylor dropped her match 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 3 spot.
CSU returns to action on Friday, April 8
th with a home match against Hofstra scheduled for 3 p.m.
