SALISBURY – The Lady Eagles won their first MEAC road match of the season defeating Maryland Eastern Shore 5-1, on Saturday, April 2
nd at the SU Indoor Tennis Center.
Coppin State won two double matches and three singles to clinch their first road victory of the season. Their No. 1 doubles team of
Ashley Milo and Carentxa Geode downed UMES' tandem 6-3.
Miranda Taylor and
Precious Udofe teamed up in No. 2 doubles action and won 6-2.
The Lady Eagles cruised to victory with three wins in singles play.
Carentxa Goede at No. 2 and
Tanna Nita at No. 4 both blanked their opponents by scores of 6-0, 6-0. CSU's
Miranda Taylor battled at No. 3 winning 6-3, 6-1.
CSU improves to 2-7 overall and 1-3 in MEAC play. The Lady Eagles will complete their four game road trip on Sunday, April 3
rd with a MEAC matchup against Hampton at 1 p.m.
