BOWIE, MD - Carentxa Geode, Ashley Milo, Miranda Taylor and Precious Udofe all picked up singles wins in Coppin State's 5-4 loss to Bowie State University on Tuesday, April 12.
The Lady Eagles had the momentum early on against Bowie State in both doubles matches. Coppin State led 5-1 at the first flight before Bowie State battled back and won 8-6. The same scenario occurred at No. 2 doubles with Coppin State ahead and the Bulldogs rallying from behind to a 9-7 victory.
Geode (6-2, 6-0), Milo (6-2, 6-0_and Taylor (6-2, 6-1) captured No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles wins while Udofe (5-7, 6-2, 6-0) won at No. 5 singles.
Geode and Milo (8-6) teamed up at No. 1 doubles and Taylor and Udofe (9-7) competed at No. 2 doubles as the Bulldogs swept the Eagles in doubles matches.
