Lady Eagles Tennnis Drop MEAC Road Opener to Norfolk State

NORFOLK- The Coppin State women's tennis team suffered a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) road loss to Norfolk State University on Thursday, March 24 at the NSU Tennis Complex.
 
This was the Lady Eagles third match of the week after taking on Mount St. Mary's on Monday (Mar. 21) and Howard University on Tuesday (Mar. 22).
 
Norfolk State breezed through Coppin State winning all matches in singles and doubles play. The Lady Eagles had a strong performance from freshman Precious Udofe.
 
Udofe fought hard in singles play at No. 5 with a 6-2, 6-2 loss. Senior Miranda Taylor teamed up with Udofe and fell in doubles play at No. 2 6-1.
 
The duo of seniors Ashley Milo and Carentxa Goede dropped their No. 1 double match 6-0.
 
Coppin State will return to action Tuesday, March 29 when they visit Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Match play will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the TU Pavilion.
