BALTIMORE – The Lady Eagles fell 7-0 in their home opener to Longwood University on Saturday, March 11th at the CSU Tennis Complex.
Coppin State falls to 0-2 early in the season while Longwood jumps to 5-6 overall record.

Carentxa Goede had a solid outing at No.1 singles battling her opponent 6-3, 2-6, 1-10.
Ashley Milo had a fair match at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-0), while both
Miranda Taylor at No. 3 (6-0, 6-0) and
Tanna Nita at No. 4 (6-0, 6-0) were issued shutouts. At No. 5 singles for the Lady Eagles
Precious Udofe was downed 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles action the duo of Goede and Milo fell 6-2 to Longwood's No. 1 pair. Longwood sealed the victory after defeating the Lady Eagles No. 2 doubles pair of Taylor and Udofe with a 6-0 shutout.
Coppin State returns to the court for their second consecutive home game on Saturday, March 12
th at 12:30 p.m. against St. Francis College Brooklyn. On Tuesday, March 22
nd the Lady Eagles will host Howard in their MEAC home opener.
