COLLEGEVILLE – The Lady Eagles track and field team had four top-1o finished at the 2016 Frank Colden Invitational on Saturday, February 6
th hosted by Ursinus College.
Senior
Tanaya Yarde won the 400m dash with a time of 1:00.34 and finished third in the 60m event at 7.85.
Coppin State had a pair finish first and second competing in the women's pentathlon events. Freshmen
Khemani Roberts gathered 3,433 points winning the pentathlon while sophomore
Randi Bohler was second with 2,765 points.
Freshmen
Dainah Moore was fourth overall in the 60m run with a time of 8.01. Junior
Kadeem Curtis led a trio of runners in the 800m event with a third place finish. Curtis clocked in at 2:21.92 a season-best time in the event.
Freshmen
Lunnise Gibson was 14
th (2:31.73) and junior
Miriam Ekwuru was 33
rd (2:44.72). Rounding out the Lady Eagles in the 60m hurdle preliminaries was junior
Shawdae Frederick in 21
st place with a time of 12.02.
Up next for Coppin State is the annual MEAC Indoor Track & Field Championships in Landover, Md. beginning on Thursday, February 11
th.
