FINAL RESULTS
LANDOVER – The Coppin State women's indoor track and field team placed fifth overall with 58 team points at the 2016 MEAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, February 13
th. Seven Lady Eagles were named to the All-MEAC Team.
Kierston Bond (long jump) and
Melissa Caddle-Hope (400m) both were named to the All-MEAC First Team while
Deandra Daniel (high jump),
Khemani Roberts (pentathlon),
Alexis Marsh (4x400),
Kadeem Curtis (4x400), and
Tanaya Yarde (4x400) each made All-MEAC Second Team honors. Hampton won the championship with 143.33 team points. Florida A&M was second (114), North Carolina A&T was third (81) and Bethune Cookman was fourth (75) overall.
Melissa Caddle-Hope won the women's 400 meter dash with a career-best time of 55.17. The Lady Eagles 4x400 meter relay team of
Alexis Marsh,
Kadeem Curtis,
Melissa Caddle-Hope, and
Tanaya Yarde placed second overall in their event with a season-best time of 3:48.32.
