Seven Eagles Named to MEAC Indoor Track and Field Academic Team

NORFOLK – Seven Eagles were named to the 2016 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Indoor Track and Field All-Academic team on Wednesday, February 10th.
 
Seniors Delroy Davis and Javron Keene joined juniors Haysean Cowie-Clarke and Michael James with sophomores Devon Teagle, Mark London, and Fabian Hayles represented Coppin State University on the All-Academic list. Overall 186 student-athletes from the conference's 13 institutions achieved academic success during the 2015-16 year.
 
MEAC sophomore, junior and senior student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average as well as transfer student-athletes who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year are eligible for All-Academic accolades.
 
"I want to congratulate our track and field student-athletes, who maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average, during the 2015-16 academic year," said Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas. "In addition to acknowledging the accomplishments of these student-athletes, I would also like to thank the institutional and athletic academic support staffs, faculty, coaches and families of the student-athletes for their support in the success of their student-athletes in track and field
and in the classroom."
