BALTIMORE- The Coppin State women's indoor track & field team participated in the NYC Gotham Cup at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. on Friday, January 22. A host of Lady Eagles qualified for the MEAC Championships led by seniors Melissa Caddie-Hope and
Deandra Daniel.

Caddie-Hope recorded a season best time of 25.02 seconds in the 200m event, finishing eighth overall.

Daniel once again placed second overall, but first amongst collegiate competitors in the women's high jump event at 1.75m (5' 8.75"). She tied a seasonal best and her mark still ranks second amongst the MEAC in the high jump event.

Khemani Roberts placed fourth and tied a seasonal best mark of measure of 1.70m (5'7") in the women's high jump event as the Lady Eagles had two top five finishers in the event.

Alexis Marsh finished with a seasonal best 57.79 seconds in the 400m event placing 14th overall. Her time ranks fifth in the MEAC.

Danielle Baker and
Randi Bohler improved on seasonal best marks in the long jump event.
Â
Baker finished 10th with a measure of 5.60m (18'4.5"), seventh in the MEAC and Bohler placed 18th in the event with a seasonal best measure of 5.50m (18'0.5"), tenth in the MEAC.

Kristen Deacon finished with seasonal best in the weight throw event with a measure of 15.21m (49'11") She placed fifth in both the weigh throw and shot put events. Her weight throw mark ranks fifth in the MEAC.

The Lady Eagles will head to Fairfax, VA to compete in the George Mason Patriot Games on Saturday, January 30. This will be an all day event.Â
