Eagles Fly High at Father Diamond Classic

BALTIMORE- Melissa Caddle-Hope led the Lady Eagles with a MEAC qualifying performance for the Coppin State women's indoor track and field team during the Father Diamond Classic hosted by George Mason University Saturday in Fairfax, VA.

Caddie-Hope finished first in the 400m dash with a time of 55:77.

Along with Caddie-Hope, Khemani Roberts in the high jump, Kristen Deacon and Alethia Edwards in the weight throw all qualified for the MEAC Championships.

Khemani Roberts placed fifth in the high jump event with a leap of 1.60m.

Kristen Deacon finished third with a toss of 14.02m and Alethia Edwards placed seventh with a throw of 14.43m in the weight throw event.

Alexis Marsh claimed a top five finish in the 400m.

Kadeem Curtis placed third in the 500m dash event.

Danielle Baker finished third in the long jump event with a jump of 5.10m.

Coppin State will return to action the following Saturday January 16 for the University of Albany Great Dane Classic in Staten Island, NY. This meet will be an all day event.
