Deandra Daniel and
Natasha Patterson were individual event winners for the Coppin State women's indoor track and field team during the CNU Open at the Freeman Center Saturday. The meet was hosted by Christopher Newport.

Along with Daniel and Patterson,
Camry Torian were among the Coppin State student-athletes who achieved Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championship qualifying standard.

Daniel, 2015 MEAC indoor Champion, was victorious in her premiere event, the high jump was a clearance of 5 feet 7 inches.

Patterson won the triple jump with a distance of 37 feet 1 inch. She tied for fifth in the long jump with a finish of 17 feet 2.25 inches.

Torian placed second in the 200-meter and third in the 60-meter dashes. She qualified for the MEAC Championships in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.74 seconds. She crossed the finish line in 26.28 seconds in the 200-meter dash.

Alexis Marsh (400-meter) and
Kiersten Bond (long jump) both placed top five finishes. The Eagles left the CNU Holiday Open second in total points scored with 99.

Coppin State returns to action on Friday December 11 it heads to Staten Island, N.Y. for the Wagner College Seahawk Shootout.Â
