BALTIMORE – The Coppin State men's basketball team has been practicing for six intense and spirited days in preparation for its regular season opener on Friday, Nov, 13 when it visits Eastern Kentucky for a 7:00 p.m. tip.
To get you hyped for the season, we're going to countdown over the next six weeks, "50 Fun Facts" featuring unique nuggets and statistical notes about the Coppin State men's basketball team leading up to our weeklong coverage of the season during the week of November 8.

Lucian Brownlee, who was named MEAC Preseason Freshman of the Year by College Sports Madness, celebrates his birthday on Tuesday, Oct. 11. Make sure you send some birthday wishes his way on our twitter page @coppinsports.
41 – Coppin State finished seventh nationally in 3-pointers made per game (9.5), 14th in 3-pointers attempted (826) and 16th in 3-pointers made (294).
40 – Named to the NJCAA Region VI Honorable Mention All-Region Team in 2014-15,
James Sylvester ended his two-year career as the second leading scorer and assist leader in Northwest Tech history with 771 career points (12.2 ppg) and 162 career assists (2.6 apg).

Keith Shivers was a member of the Paris Junior College Dragons' 2013-14 Region XIV championship team. Shivers is majoring in political science and a Capricorn.
37 – Coppin State will play non-conference contests against schools from 10 different leagues.

Christian Kessee scored a career-high 24 points against Delaware State last season where he made 9-of-11 shots from the field.
35 -- Coppin State ranked in the upper half of the conference last season in turnover margin (second, +0.87), three-point field goal percentage (third, 35.7 percent), assists (fourth, 12.6), assist-to-turnover ratio (fourth, 0.9), free-throw percentage (fourth, 69.2) and steals (fifth, 6.7)..
