2015 (Junior): Dower earned the Coppin State baseball team award for most improved. Dower was fourth on the Eagles in hitting with a .238 average in 41 games. Dower made 38 starts between second base and shortstop. He led the Eagles in runs scored (22), sacrifice bunts (six), hit by pitches (nine) and three-hit games (four). Overall, Dower had eight multi-hit games which was fourth on the team. He had 29 hits and two doubles. Dower had three-hit games against Maryland Eastern Shore (March 16), Delaware State (March 21 & April 11) and Norfolk State (April 18). In a 6-1 win over UMES on April 4, Dower had two hits and drove in two runs. Dower drew 15 walks and drove in eight runs. Dower had a season-high four-game hitting streak from April 11-14.
2014 (Sophomore): He helped Coppin State qualify for the MEAC baseball tournament by appearing in 42 games and making 40 starts. Excellent middle infielder who keyed Coppin State’s defense. Dower scored 12 runs and finished with 13 hits. Dower also collected six RBIs. He had a stretch in which he reached base six consecutive games. His best performance of the season came against UMES April 5 where he had three RBIs, two hits, and a run.
High School Attended Neshaminy High School in Langhorne, Pa.…played second base for the Redskins…was selected to the North American Prospect Team which played in Paris and Amsterdam…also was featured in the 2011 Firecracker Under Armour Nationals scouting blog.
