Biography

2015 (Senior): Started 41 of 43 games and finished with a .154 batting average. He was one of eight Coppin State players to finish with at least 20 hits. Brown had 20 hits, including three extra base hits. Brown drove in eight runs. He hit his only home run of the season against Delaware State on March 22. Brown had three multi-hit games, two against Delaware State and in his final career contest against Norfolk State. He led the Eagles with 25 walks and had a season-high eight consecutive games of reaching base.

2014 (Junior): He helped Coppin State qualify for the MEAC baseball tournament by appearing in 43 games and making 42 starts. Brown finished with a .223 batting average and was second on the team with 21 RBIs. He led the Eagles with five multi-RBI games. He was one of four CSU players to finish with at least 30 hits in 2014. He had 31, including seven multi-hit games. Six of his multi-hit games were against Delaware State. He scored 19 runs. His best performance was against Delaware State March 22 when he delivered a go-ahead three-run home run in the top of the seventh inning with two outs to help CSU break a 20-game losing streak to Delaware State. He finished that contest with three hits, four RBIs, and three runs. Brown was named MEAC Player of the Week following that weekend series against DSU.

2013 (Sophomore) Appeared in 53 games and made 52 starts…led the team in hits, doubles, runs batted in, slugging percentage and on-base percentage…had 45 hits, 10 doubles, 26 RBI, a .341 slugging percentage and a .382 on-base percentage…also had a triple and scored 14 runs…batted .269 on the season…was 45-for-167…led the Eagles with 11 multiple-hit games and six multiple-RBI games…his first career hit came against Georgetown (2/22)…he was 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs scored against the Hoyas…tied his career high with four RBI at Navy (5/1)…was 2-for-4 with a triple and scored two times against the Midshipmen…knocked in three runs with a double at Norfolk State (4/21)…was 3-for-5 versus Norfolk State (3/25) in the first game of a doubleheader…went 4-for-8 with two RBI in the doubleheader against the Spartans…was 2-for-4, scored two runs and drove in two runs against UMBC (3/16)…was 3-for-6 with three RBI in the MEAC Tournament…went 1-for-4 with an RBI against Bethune-Cookman (5/16) and was 2-for-2 with two RBI versus North Carolina A&T (5/17).

High School Attended Meade High School…Earned four letters in baseball…played in the Brooks Robinson All-Star game as a senior…named to the Capital Gazette All-County team in 2010 and 2011…was selected All-Arundel County by the coaches in 2010 and 2011…was a second team Washington Post All-Metro selection in 2011.
