2015 (Junior): Won two games as a pitcher and finished with a 7.95 earned run average. He was second on the team in strikeouts with 47 in 48.2 innings. He struck out at least six batters in a game five times, including four straight games. He had a season-high seven strikeouts in consecutive starts against Delaware State and Maryland Eastern Shore. Against UMES on April 4, Burgess tossed a complete game and led the Eagles to a 6-1 win over UMES. He allowed four hits in the win over the Hawks. Burgess also earned a win in relief in a 4-3 win over Army on March 7 by allowing one run over two innings. Burgess started eight games and finished with two complete games.

High School Attended La Plata High School in La Plata, Md….earned four letters in baseball…was the 2012 Charles County Player of the Year…also named Second Team All-Southern Maryland Athletic Association in both 2011 and 2012…was named the La Plata most valuable player.
