NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's
Daveyon Lydner has repeated as MEAC Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. It was the second time this season that Lydner has received the award, which is tied for the most in the MEAC.
A freshman from York, Pa., Lydner tallied ten points, while making 6-of-7 shots from the line, to go with four rebounds, two assists and a steal. For the season, Lydner is averaging 2.4 points and 0.9 rebounds to go with 31 assists, five steals and four blocks.
The Eagles return to action on Saturday, February 14 at NC Central before traveling to South Carolina State two nights later.
