COLUMBIA, S.C. – The quartet of
Gifty Oku,
Benidicta Kwartemaa,
Tracey Riley and
Halutie Hor opened the Coppin State women's track & field outdoor season with a win in the 4x100m Relay at South Carolina's Weems Baskin Invitational this weekend.
Opening the day, the Eagles clocked a 45.31, winning the event by over 1.6 seconds against Winston-Salem State. Kwartemaa and Oku took second and fourth, respectively, in the 100m dash in times of 11.75 and 11.84, while Hor debuted in the 400m with a time of 58.73.
Woizero Richards leaped 4.89m (16' 00.50") in the long jump while
Raniya Perry tossed the shot put 10.25m (33' 7.50").
