VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The trio of
Kyah La Fortune,
Gifty Oku and
Halutie Hor all scored points in their individual events as the Coppin State women's track & field team took eighth at MEAC Indoor Championships on Monday at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Oku finished fifth in the 60m in 7.59, just ahead of Hor who finished sixth in 7.66. La Fortune's time of 58.59 in the 400m was good enough for fifth place.
The trio was also joined by
Serena Harrison in the 4x400m Relay, and the Eagles finished fourth in 3:49.92.
Raniya Perry also finished 13
th in the shot put with a toss of 9.87m (32' 4.75").
The Eagles are scheduled to compete at the IC4A Championships in Boston on March 7-9.
