GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Recent Coppin State baseball graduate
Nico Felber signed a free agent contract with the Great Falls Voyagers, an independent professional team of the Pioneer League which is an MLB Partner League.
A righthanded pitcher from Reading, Pa., Felber is the latest former Eagles player to play professionally, joining outfielder
Marcos Castillo who also plays for the Voyagers. Felber is not the only former CSU pitcher to have recent success as former Eagles graduate
Rashad Ruff was an All Pac-12 Honorable Mention selection this year.
Felber has already made five relief appearances for the Great Falls and has struck out nine batters in 8.1 innings of work. He did not allow an earned run in back-to-back outings at the Missoula Paddleheads on June 4 and June 8.
In his CSU career, Felber ranks fourth in school history with 60 career appearances on the mound. Felber won four games with 113 strikeouts in 155.1 innings while totaling a 7.36 earned run average.
