WASHINGTON, D.C. – Nackera Allen and
Halutie Hor led the way as Coppin State's women's track & field team competed nearby at the Gallaudet Bison Classic on Saturday.
Allen finished just ahead of Hor in the 100m finals in 12.17 and 12.18, respectively, after Hor ran the meet's top preliminary time in 11.88.
Erin Palmer also advanced to the finals and clocked a 12.62 after a 12.45 in the prelims.
Serena Harrison also came in at 12.61.
Palmer doubled up in the 100m hurdles, finishing in 14.76, while
Kaelyn Woodrum doubled in the 200m (26.10) and 400m hurdles (1:04.34). Harrison finished just behind Woodrum in the 200m in 26.24.
Destinee Lewis came through in the 400m hurdles in 1:04.91.
In the field events,
Woizero Richards leaped 5.27m (17' 3.5") while
Raniya Perry continued to improve with a toss of 33' 10.25.".
Also competing on the day were
Brianna Benton in the 400m (59.71),
Tracey Riley in the 800m (2:29.01) and
Angel Davis in the 400m hurdles (1:21.79).
The Eagles will have a weekend off before competing at the Morgan State Legacy on April 19-20.
