BALTIMORE – Men's Tennis'
Vansh Kapoor and volleyball's
Ashley Roman received the President's Eagle Awards as Coppin State University's Athletic Department held it's annual Eagles ESPY Awards on Monday night at James Weldon Auditorium.
Carl Drakes from men's track & field and women's basketball's
Laila Lawrence were named the Men's and Women's Athletes of the Year, respectively.
Men's Track & Field's
Jayeed Norbal and
Kimani Alphonse of the women's track & field team received the Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards. The Men's and Women's Newcomers of the Year went to
Ryan Archey of men's basketball and softball's
Emily Quintero.
The Annual Iron Eagle awards were also presented, with those honors going to baseball's
Giovanni Canales and volleyball's
Paola Caten.
Additionally, each team announced their program's Most Valuable Player, Unsung Hero and Most Improved Player awards.
