BALTIMORE – Eagles Hall of Famer
Larry Stewart will be officially introduced as the head coach of the Coppin State men's basketball program on Friday, May 5 at 11:30 am in an introductory press conference.
Stewart was a three-time All-Conference selection and won back-to-back MEAC Player of the Year Awards in 1990 and 1991. He is the only player in CSU history to record both 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds, and he still ranks third all-time at scoring and first in both rebounding and field goal percentage. Stewart played five NBA seasons with the Washington Bullets, Vancouver Grizzlies and Seattle SuperSonics and was named to the 1992 NBA All-Rookie Team with the Bullets.
