NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's
Luka Markovic was named to the MEAC Men's Tennis All-Conference Second Team, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday evening. This is the second time that Markovic has earned All-MEAC honors after he also earned Second Team accolades last season.
A senior from Belgrade, Serbia, Markovic went 2-9 in singles play with victories over competitors from South Carolina State and Loyola Maryland. Markovic also went a team-best 4-8 in doubles play, with all four wins coming in the top position pairing with junior
Vansh Kapoor. He and Kapoor defeated the top duos from Longwood, Villanova, Loyola Maryland and Wagner.
The Eagles take on North Carolina Central University in the opening round of the MEAC Tournament at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 27 at Cary Tennis Park.
