NORFOLK, Va. – For the second-straight week, Coppin State's
Vansh Kapoor has been named the MEAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.
A junior from New Delhi, India, Kapoor led the Eagles to a 4-3 victory over Wagner on Sunday, opening the day by teaming with
Luka Markovic for a 7-6 win at No. 1 doubles. Kapoor then clinched the win for the Eagles by defeating Tejasvi Mehra, 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 in the second singles slot.
Kapoor is 3-8 on the season in singles play while going 4-8 in doubles action with all victories coming in the first pairing.
Coppin travels to Howard on Saturday, April 15 before closing the regular season at Morgan State on Wednesday, April 19.
