COLUMBIA, S.C. – Led by personal-records from Halutie Hor and Jahmei Wyatt, the Coppin State women's track team competed at the Carolina Challenge, hosted by the University of South Carolina on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, Hor clocked a 7.69 in the opening round of the 60m dash before running a personal-record 7.65 in the semifinals.  Despite the PR and finishing fifth among collegiate runners, Hor was unable to advance the final.  Hor also ran her best time in the 200m dash on Saturday, finishing in 25.21. Gifty Oku made her CSU debut in the 60m dash, dominating her heat in 7.83.

Wyatt took eighth overall in the 800m Run, shattering her old PR with a time of 2:11.79.  Her mark is the third-fastest in CSU history and tops in the MEAC this season.

A trio of Eagles impressed in the 400m dash as Kimani Alphonse took fifth overall in 54.98, followed by Shenelle Tomlinson in seventh at 55.21.  Destinee Mcloud just missed out on a PR, clocking a 58.19.
