FULL SCHEDULE
BALTIMORE – Highlighted by a trip to play the University of Maryland for the first time since an upset victory in 1989, Coppin State's men's basketball schedule for the 2022-23 season was revealed today by head coach
Juan Dixon. The Eagles' slate features ten home games, including non-conference matchups against Mount St. Mary's, Navy and James Madison.
Coppin opens the season with road games on back-to-back nights against Charlotte and Georgetown, with the latter being nationally televised on FS1. Three nights later, the Eagles entertain Mount St. Mary's for its home opener on November 11 before welcoming Navy on November 14.
The Eagles then embark on a nine-game road trip, starting with an MTE (multiple-team event) at Tennessee State and Marshall. Four consecutive local rivals await the Navy & Gold with Towson (Nov. 22), the Terrapins (Nov. 25), UMBC (Nov. 30) and Loyola Maryland (Dec. 3) before trips to North Carolina State (Dec. 6), East Carolina (Dec. 11) and George Washington (Dec. 13).
After eight days off, Coppin hosts the Dukes on Dec. 21 before closing out non-conference play at George Mason (Dec. 23), Richmond (Dec. 28) and Rutgers (Dec. 30).
CSU opens MEAC play with four-straight home games, starting with South Carolina State on January 7, before hosting North Carolina Central (Jan. 9), archrival Morgan State (Jan. 14) and Norfolk State (Jan. 21). Delaware State comes to town on January 30 and Homecoming is set for February 18 against Howard.
A week after Homecoming, Coppin gets Maryland Eastern Shore on February 25 for Senior Day.
The MEAC Tournament will once again be held at Norfolk Scope Arena, starting on March 8 and wrapping up on March 11.
